Day
Two; Rivers, Waterfalls, and The Cascade Gorge

After
breakfast, we head to the old town site of Eholt in the
cool
of the morning and begin our slow descent toward Grand Forks,
BC with its unique Russian heritage. Two tunnels and magnificant
scenery highlight this ride. We'll stop for lunch
at the Station Pub, a restored CPR Train Station featuring
excellent cuisine.
After lunch, a gentle ride along the banks of the beautiful
Kettle River will take us back to Christina Lake. The new
trail surface, here is the smoothest in the province, and
the elevation is almost flat, making it perfect for our first
day of riding. Just before the end of the ride, we'll stop
at Cascade Gorge where the scenery is simply spectacular.
A short trail walk will take us to Rainbow Rock for the best
view of The Falls. Here you'll definitely want to bring your
camera! A long gentle descent into Christina Lake is the perfect
ending for this memorable first day.
