Day Three: Paulson to Christina
This
is a great route on the old Columbia & Western section of
the Kettle Valley Railgrade.
We will transport you to the old town site of Paulson on
the rail grade above
Christina Lake. Here you'll begin a leisurely ride down the
2% grade back to WildWays.
The trip includes a trestle and two short tunnels, plus a
wealth of historical sights along the way. Old mines and
ghost
town sites speak of the gold rush days. We'll find a scenic
place for lunch and share stories of a time when the mountains
rang with the sound of pick axe and shovel. The afternoon
is free for exploring the area and/or relaxing by the lake.
