Day
Six; Doing the Dew
After
another great night's sleep, we shuttle you high up above
the lake to the Dewdney Trail, a historic gold rush trail
that was part of the Trans Canada Trail.
This is a beautiful singletrack ride, with scenic viewpoints
galore. We pass by old farms and bubbling brooks to cool your
feet in as we descend 15 Kms, most of which is downhill. An
alternate route for those who don't feel comfortable on singletrack
is the old Cascade Highway, a 22Km gravel road which parallels
the Dewdney and is almost entirely downhill to the lake. A
swim at the end of the day will refresh and revive, or maybe
a massage to ease those stiff joints.
